Privacy Policy

Last Updated: July 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how ProfessionPrompts ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit professionprompts.com(the "Service"), create an account, or make a purchase. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information. When you create an account, our authentication provider (Clerk) collects your name, email address, and login credentials. If you sign in with a third-party provider (e.g. Google), we receive basic profile information from that provider.
  • Payment information. When you purchase a subscription or product, payments are processed by Stripe (and, for certain digital products, Gumroad). We do not store your full card number. We receive limited billing details such as your subscription status, plan, and the last four digits of your card.
  • Usage and content data. When you generate documents or use account features, we store the inputs you provide and related records (such as generation history and credit balance) in our database (Supabase) so we can deliver the Service to you.
  • Log and device data. Like most websites, we automatically collect IP address, browser type, device information, referring/exit pages, and timestamps for security and diagnostics.
  • Analytics data. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tool that measures aggregate traffic without tracking you across sites or building a personal profile.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide, operate, and maintain the Service and your account.
  • To process payments, subscriptions, credits, and refunds.
  • To respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account.
  • To monitor, secure, and improve the Service and prevent abuse or fraud.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers ("subprocessors") that help us operate the Service, and only as needed for them to perform their functions:

  • Clerk — authentication and account management.
  • Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.
  • Gumroad — sales of certain digital products.
  • Supabase — database and data storage.
  • Plausible Analytics — aggregate, cookieless usage analytics.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

4. Cookies and Tracking

We use essential cookies that are required for the Service to function—primarily to keep you securely signed in (set by Clerk) and to process payments (set by Stripe). Our analytics provider (Plausible) does not use cookies and does not track you across websites. You can control cookies through your browser settings, but disabling essential cookies may prevent you from signing in.

5. Data Retention

We retain your account and usage information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. We retain certain records (such as transaction history) as required for legal, tax, and accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account at any time (see Your Rights).

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of the EU/UK (under GDPR) and California (under the CCPA/CPRA) have additional rights, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. To make a request, email support@professionprompts.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children, and you must be at least 13 years old to create an account or use the Service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@professionprompts.com and we will delete it promptly.

8. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures—including encryption in transit and trusted infrastructure providers—to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. International Users

We are based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

11. Contact Us
